Paola's inspiration to grow vegetables goes back to her childhood when she was lucky enough to witness the passion her grandfather had for his land. She comes from Trieste, where her family has a small plot of land with some olive trees and a small vegetable garden looking over the Adriatic Sea. Later on, when living in Brussels she took on and allotment with a friend and as an self-sufficient experiment tried to eat only the vegetables they produced over that summer. It was certainly a eye-opening and rewarding experience. Since 2017 she's been growing vegetables at Carrowgarry farm and enjoying every minute of it!
