Carrowgarry farm is based in Beltra, Co. Sligo, right beside the Atlantic Ocean. Carrowgarry farm has been in Andrew’s family for generations and we’re honoured to work and live here. Vegetables are grown in two large polytunnels and an outdoor area of a third of an acre, located in a beautiful walled-garden surrounded by apple trees. Our most successful crop is our mixed leaves for salads that we supply to cafes, shops and individuals. However, every season brings us delicious veggies so there is something growing all the time. In summer we love our tomatoes, cucumbers, courgettes and beans and later on in autumn and winter we look forward to oriental leaves, celeriac, parsnips, squashes and all those delicious brassicas such as, brussel sprouts, sprouting broccoli and kale! We supply our produce to award winning cafes and shops such as Pudding Row in Easkey, Shells in Strandhill, Sherlock’s in Ballisodare and Nook in Collooney. We also run a vegetable box scheme during the spring and summer.
